Alcohol is a depressing substance that causes a deceleration or a depression of the central nervous system. It produces, at small doses, a sensation of calm or drowsiness. Alcohol consumption grows the apparition risk of numerous chronic health problems.

 

Such as:

  • Cancers;
  • Cardiovascular diseases;
  • Mental health problems;
  • Etc.

Alcohol addiction (alcoholism) sometimes occurs by physical symptoms and a sensation of lack when stopped. The necessity of doses increase to obtain the same effects (tolerance) is progressive but highly marked.
